Det kom åpenbart mange bra skiver i fjor. I 2025 ble det nemlig stemt på hele 447 ulike utgivelser, og det er ny rekord hos Jernverket. De siste årene har ekstremmetalen preget de øverste plasseringene, men i år klatret en annen sjanger helt til topps…
Det er sju år siden forrige gang et heavy metal-band gjorde storeslem og stakk av med førsteplassen. Nå får Black Viper (2018) og Black Magic (2014) selskap av Morax fra Bergen. De var riktignok innom lista med EP-en «Rites and Curses» i 2023, men med «The Amulet» vant de hele mesterskapet. Gratulerer til Morax og High Roller Records!
Topp tre er helnorsk, noe som ikke er uvanlig i Jernverkets lytterkrets. Men blant de ti best likte utgivelsene finner vi også engelsk, fransk, spansk og sveitsisk musikk. Dessuten har det sneket seg inn to danske band, noe som hadde vært tilnærmet uhørt for få år siden. Det er fint å se at det ulmer også i det danske flatland.
