Aldri før er det blitt avgitt like mange stemmer. Ikke noensinne har marginene på pallen vært så små. Jernverket var dessuten i ferd med å annonsere feil vinner. For en valgthriller…
Det er tydeligvis ikke bare-bare å telle stemmer for valgmannskapene der ute. I 2024 var det usigelig jevnt i teten helt fra begynnelsen av, og i ammetåka var det like før de siste stemmene ble oversett og skjøvet ut i intet. Men Jernverket etterstreber full åpenhet, og avstemningen ble rodd i land uten feil til slutt. Det er en glede å kunne avsløre at Blood Incantations «Absolute Elsewhere» kapret førsteplassen som fjorårets beste utgivelse.
Norske band står generelt høyt i kurs hos Jernverket-lytterne. Seks av bandene på topp 10 er norske. Kun én gang tidligere har et utenlandsk band vunnet avstemningen, da svenske Hällas ga ut «Excerpts from a Future Past» i 2017. Blood Incantation kom på andreplass i 2019, men nå klatret de altså helt til topps. Gratulasjoner sendes til bandet og Century Media Records!
